Frequently asked questions

Are you lawyers?

No. Parole Path is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. For legal questions, please talk to a licensed attorney.

Will you represent my loved one or talk to the parole board?

No. We do not represent anyone, appear before any board, or contact the board for you. We help your family get organized, and you send the packet yourself.

Are you part of the parole board or the prison system?

No. Parole Path is independent and is not affiliated with any parole board or department of corrections. We're on your family's side.

Can you guarantee parole?

No one can promise a parole decision, and we never will. We promise careful work, respect for your family, and a clear, organized packet.

Which states do you serve?

Hands-on organizing help in Michigan, New York, and Missouri. A family self-help kit for Texas. Georgia and Pennsylvania are not available yet; join the waitlist.

Can I talk to someone on the phone?

We're digital-first: everything happens through the online form and email. There are no phone consultations. Instead, start with our free checklist.

How do I pay?

Online checkout is coming soon. Nothing is charged when you start your packet online. We review your intake and confirm by email before any payment.

How do I send documents?

A secure document upload is coming soon. Please don't email sensitive documents yet; tell us in the form what you have, and we'll follow up.

Does every incarcerated person get a parole review?

Not always. It depends on the state and the sentence. Check with the facility or an attorney if you're not sure.
